Q. How is the event being advertised?
The event is being advertised through a public relations effort and electronic media (radio and TV) campaign will occur in Atlanta, Louisville, Nashville, Cincinnati, & Charlotte. A direct mail campaign will invite select buyers within a 200 mile radius. A regional campaign (Knoxville and Eastern Tennessee) will be executed to bring in art enthusiasts which are avid supports of Cherish the Child Foundation.
Q. Do artists retain revenue from sales of works of art?
Revenue from works of art belong solely to the artist.
Q. How is the Art Expo structured?
The Art Expo will be divided into 10 x 10/ 10 x 20 booths. The artist will display their work Friday, Saturday & Sunday in the designated public open access times. Artists freely interact with the public and have access to sell their work. We will have special gallery options to display work as well.
Q. How is the Preview Gala structured?
The Preview Gala/Awards Ceremony takes place on May 15th, Thursday 4-9p. This Benefit Gala is a private preview party to interact with the artists and have "first crack" at purchasing works of art. The Gala will take place on an adjoining terrace at the Sevierville Events Center. The silent action will be set up in tables in the corridors. Our goal is to have 250-300 patrons.

Q. What events has byDesign Publishing successfully produced?
We have produced in excess of 80 events over the last 10 years throughout the Eastern US, including the southeast. We specialize in touching first time buyers, exciting qualified attendees to purchase. Since the Sevierville Event Center is a brand new facility (opened last August 2007) all events there are groundbreaking in nature.
Q. Where is Sevierville Event Center?
The facility is majestic, brand new and truly
'mountain modern'. A 36 hole golf course surrounds the facility, which
overlooks the Smoky Mountains and Pigeon River. The marketing goal is
to bring in buyers from a 200 mile radius. Currently, 11,000,000
tourist travel to Gatlinburg annually. Gatlinburg is at the end of Rt
66 (25 miles long). The Sevierville Events Center is only 8 miles off
I-40 on Rt 66. Thousands of tourists are already in motion.
Attendance expectation is 5000-6000 qualified buyers.
Q. Are international exhibitions allowed?
International exhibitions may purchase booth space to exhibit, but may not participate in the jury process.
Q. Are galleries allowed?
Gallery shows are popular on the west coast. We have a separate area to display gallery exhibits, however, the artist must be present to interact with the public. The artists work may or may not qualify to be juried, therefore, may or may not be eligible for monetary awards. Only juried art is eligible for monetary awards. All gallery exhibits must be one of a kind. No mass production importers are allowed. The gallery area will be multiple media types.
